Workforce Academy is creative and innovative in its approach to education and career exploration. When students arrive at the academy they are provided training in Pre-Employment work Maturity skills and administered the Career Occupational Preference Systems (COPS), an interest assessment that help to define the kind of work a student is interested in doing. The school also administers The Temperament Discovery System (KTS–II), a personality instrument to asses personality type. The goal of these assessments is to develop a career plan that will become a road map to the future. The COPS is also used as an indicator for possible assignment on internships that are a match for the student.
